You have an idea. You want to make something. Go. Now. Don't stop to think about all the things it could be. Don't stop to imagine the perfect end result. Just start. Make it. Let it evolve. It will be ugly at first. Don't fight it, make it ugly. Make it gross. Make it dirty. Make it gnarly.
Make it so ugly you'll be mad at yourself when you go back to look at it. You know why? You'll want to make it better. You're giving it an intrinsic reason to work on it.
And a reason to work on it is one thing you need to keep working until it's something great.
I hate all these short sentences, they feel unfinished and gimmicky. Also I know there are better blog platforms than a GitHub repo full of markdown files. But it's fine! It's only the first post, and I've started something. Now I have a reason to make it better.
